About

Next meeting: Thursday 12th November, 6pm. The Kings Arms, Central Oxford.

The Radical Librarians Collective exists in order to ‘build solidarity for those critical of the marketisation of libraries and the commodification of data’. We aim to create a safe space for discussion and action regarding the library profession. All are welcome to our meetings.

Our meetings are non-hierarchical and anybody can attend. We encourage open discussion and contributions. Although our meetings are free to attend, we do ask that people try to donate what they can for the upkeep of the venue.

We adhere to a safe spaces policy as outlined here. Please bear this policy in mind when bringing your own ideas for discussion. Inclusion is important to us – we want everyone to feel welcome.

Please also see the site for the Radical Librarians Collective for further information on the history of Radical Librarians, previous events and information for other regional groups.

The Journal of Radical Librarianship may also be of interest.
